Beginning May 16th 2013, Lufthansa will increase the number of flights to 5 weekly between Munich and Riyadh. The increase in service is marking 25 years of service to Riyadh and Saudi Arabia. Lufthansa has been servicing different cities in the Kingdom for more than 50 years. The flights between Riyadh and Munich were first initiated in 1987 and have been increasing its capacity and presence in the Kingdom since then. Today Lufthansa offers flights from Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam to Frankfurt and Munich.
The increased number of flights on the Munich route will bring the total number of weekly flights to 23. Saudi Arabia is one of the first countries in the Middle East where the company started operations and Lufthansa is the only European airlines servicing the three major gateways of the Kingdom. The silver jubilee marking flight will start operations with a new Boeing 747-8 which can take passengers with the utmost comfort and convenience. Lufthansa has invested much for the comfort of its passengers traveling between Europe and Middle East.

Lufthansa currently operates daily flights between Riyadh and Frankfurt and three weekly flights from
Jeddah via Riyadh to Munich. Daily flights between Jeddah and Frankfurt are complemented by four
weekly flights between Dammam and Frankfurt. The increase in operations between Riyadh and Munich
will not only be convenient for passengers between the two destinations but will also complement the
Umrah and Hajj pilgrims from Germany to the Kingdom.
